dash has observed that mikel takes evident delight in preparing a breakfast that is aesthetically pleasing and looks lovely to munch on. this morning, dash attempts a mikel ...

one of the many gifts dash received from dmitry and cindi for christmas is this illustrated book "365 penguins" : ) thanks guys! i really love the book!

the book opens with the postal arrival of a mysterious parcel which contained a lively and curious penguin. check out the expressions and actions of penguin number 1 when he finds himself in the household >_<>

then of course, dash is moved by how the incumbent penguin(s) would always welcome the new penguin with open arms. erm, okay, open flippers.

the sequential art and story-telling across the large pages of the book are simply exceptional! there is much details in the artwork - there is always something hilarious and/or eyebrow-raising occuring in a corner or side of the page - from penguins trying on a bat suit, to penguins all fluffed in pancake mix in the kitchen! ^_^

this is a brilliant piece of work! worth countless and umpteen times of readings! : )

ilya and dash watched this movie late last nov.

ilya was impressed by the tech-talk in the first part of the movie :) apparently the terminology used by diane lane and colin hanks - when they discussed how the serial killer's IP address was untraceable - was impeccable!

dash thought that the movie was somewhat gruesome in the multiple tortures and painful deaths for the victims. eeks. it cuts too close to the "Saw" series of maniac serial killers, blood and gore. *gulp*

alright, no more gore and blood movies.

it's strange how one can often feel all the happiness bubbling out of one's head and body, and all these cheerful molecules forming a continuous trail of rainbow-coloured thoughts behind one's every step of the journey :D

we were filming a video clip for daniel. and we were all to each take a colour of the rainbow - dash is violet! - to give daniel a cheery beam of rainbow thoughts ^_^

dash found this advertisement in one of the tokyo subway. not sure what the green blob is doing or saying to provoke shocked expressions on the faces of the pedestrians. hmmrpf>!?

dash and ilya were surprised to find a deer following them along the dark streets on the island of miyajima one cold november evening in 2007 - *wheeeks!*
