what a week!

and so the week started with the madly frenzied preparation of the national day celebrations in the school while classes were on-going.

and though dash thoroughly enjoyed the "pledge moment" at 10.15am and the afternoon celebrations in her school on the 6 aug, dash must say that the hectic schedule is absolutely draining. and so here we are dressed in red or white for the celebration in school.


and then on the 7 aug, after a day of class, there was a surprise party for sarah and vicky at the e5 staff lounge. and boy! we haven't had such a big gathering for a long time!

and so here we are making funny faces for the camera XD



and here, we have a scene of happy feet - from 12 o'clock and clockwise: james the lion-dance guy, jasmine the actress, vippy and her stockinged foot (yes, she is the owner of tumbles who had earlier in another post mooned all the readers :), cedric the soon-to-be dad, dash in her happy swedish clogs, lorraine the artist and theo the ballet teacher! ahhhh!

here, from left: james, vippy, diana, jasmine and cheng all gave their megawatts grins (with the exception of vippy whose funny expression really made dash roll over with laughter! ^_^)

dash's friend mel introduced her to this aussie comic artist leuing - and boy! is this leuing artist good! check out his seven types of happiness ^_^

dash's favorite is the "three minutes of happiness borrowed from a dog" : ) and yep, on her trudge up the hill home today, dash met a happy labrador kekek and burglar dash stole about 3 minutes of cheer from it : )

dash will try to come up with her own list of ordinary happiness too : ) mmm!

vippy lent dash tumbles for a toy exchange programme now, and it never ceases to amaze dash how much happiness the 'umbles family members bring to dash kekeke :D

mmm, i like cough syrups!

dash has been having this horrid cough for the past one month. the cough has been behaving badly, almost like a guest who simply refuses to leave the host's house. suddenly in the past one week, when dash found herself with a horrid headache and onset of a flu attack, the opportunistic cough decided to take over more grounds.

the worst thing about a cough is that when it decides to make itself heard and disruptive, it can really make its presence felt - and so in the wake of h1n1 jitters, dash's involuntary and uncontrollable bout of coughing quite often earned her many looks (though no seats) on the metro/train rides.

now that the flu bug seemed under control from all the nyquil tablets taken during the weekend, one thing still stays on - yes, the cough. *what does it take, eh?* the optimistic dash would like to believe that every cough... ahem, cloud has a silver lining, and so perhaps there can be something dash can learn from this combatting of the persistent and stubborn cough.

yep, sure enough, it turns out that dash learnt that she *really* likes the taste of cough syrups! :D or at least the two types of cough syrups in the house - one orange and the other grenadine-flavoured! mmm, dash likes these cough syrups! P:
