What Dash has been up to recently : )

Yes I do! ^_^

While simultaneously googling online for a topic and having a conversation with Ilya, Dash found her unconscious self typing in the phrase "I love you!" (yes, and with an exclamation mark too : ) into the computer. Schweet! ^_^

MEH. Uh-uh.

This one is not so successful. The teacher's instruction was to create a painting with cool colours, that is greens and blues. However, dash's painting turned out too gloomy. Oh well. Dash guess this would probably work if one coupled it with a dark and depressive poem?

Imaginary conversation in Annoyed-Looking Octopus' head : )

So this time, after Annoyed-Looking Octopus' failed attempt to smuggle himself in Ilya's bag to get a peep at his workplace, Annoyed-Looking Octopus found some rings! And to go with the flow of the day, Annoyed-Looking Octopus decided that he too shalt become the Lord of the Rings! : )

Say NO! to annoying cold bugs!

Green it all!

At the 4th watercolours class on Thursday evening, the teacher got us to do a monochromatic painting by copying from a full colour picture. This means that we could only use one colour to make different tonal values/shades of the same one colour to create the same picture.

And of course since Dash likes green (plus everyone else seems to all be doing brown, blue and black), green it was then! Let's green it all! :D

And so above is a landscape painting using only green with its different tonal values.

However, the real McCoy is in taking a black and white picture of the painting - that way, the different values of the colours will show up. And here below is the same painting in black and white shot:

Monochrome painting can take a while to do but it can be really satisfying! : ) Dash likes pretending that she is a primitive camera trying to capture the picture in one colour! ^_^

Annoyed-looking Octopus Strikes Again!

3 minutes ago, as Dash passed by Ilya's chair, she spotted a tentacle curling around the top opening of Ilya's laptop bag! Of course, the interior of the bag was dark and soft -- all that an annoyed-looking octopus could want for a weekend rest!

Now Dash just has to lie in wait at her table to watch Ilya's expression when he discovers the presence of annoyed-looking octopus' new found territory! : )
