These are two pieces of gum which Dash bought from a quaint little ramen shop in KitaKyushu, Japan in Dec 2005. The wrapper even has a game on the inside for children so the kids get to exercise both their jaws and their brains : ) Back in the 1980s, Singapore used to have these pink and green tattoos in the wrappers of the gum too! The pink and green tattoos are real easy to transfer onto the skin, and are rather durable too : ) Simple pleasures from a simple past : )

Oh dear, after watching "Hostel", whenever Dash sees gum, she remembers the bubblegum demanded by the menacing street children.
