the greens make us grin! :D

last sunday, dash and ilya tightened the laces on our running and trekking shoes to brave the green walk at the southern ridges :) this green belt is one of the best development in singapore in the past one year! dash approves of it. very much :)

(and dash sometimes wonder if it were wanlin and yepeng at ura that she has to thank for this wondrous green belt addition to our little red dot! :)

this is a shot from the top of out 105m mount faber.

from the foilage of the evergreens, one can peer into the skyscape of the heartlands of telok blangah. the hdb flats with its red brick side is a deeply familiar sight to dash who grew up in tomato town, ang mo kio, in the 1980s ^_^


the tiny green leaves that adorn the branches of this tree created a smoky effect.

but standing in the tree's shade, and looking up at it, dash does feel awed by its immense height and its regality from the way the tree seems to display its branches. the entire experience made dash recall the experience that the hobbits must have felt when they found themselves in fangord forest!

(and dash took the opportunity to wear her limited edition a s manhattener's eco-friendly cat-patterned handkerchief she discovered in taipei :D)




given that the henderson waves bridge is made of a series of sine curves, there will be sections where the headroom is low for the travellers.

and a 1.88m-tall ilya found himself at a spot with low headroom :D kekek of course, dash fitted easily into the same spot :D talk about relativity of space!



here we are on the treetop walk! (though of course this is a far cry from the treetop walk at the valley of the giants in western australia. but still, dash is proud that we have one here!)
