Love and Infinity

Snippet of conversation on a Dec morning between two geeks :)

Says Dash to Ilya: I think I love you very much (and makes an imaginary dramatic hand gesture) All the measuring cups in the world cannot measure the amount of love I have for you!

(2 secs later)

Dash: Wait, the set of measuring cups in the world can be an infinite number. And if my love for you is also infinite, then it is possible that all the measuring cups in the world can measure the amount of love I have for you!

(And there ensues a 20 minute conversation about integers, rational numbers, real numbers, Cantor's one-to-one correspondence, as well as aleph numbers. However, what was unresolved was why the word Aleph was Hebrew even though it was not the Hebrew who came up with the notion of infinity. )
