- For the script's incisive portrayal of the (brittle) stuff the Singapore Dream / Plan is made of;
- For the cast's excellent acting (Dash was captivated by Yeo Yann Yann's abrupt expression change when she looked up and threatened her maid Pinky, "Don't do this to me. Not at this time." Simply a magnetic performance!);
- For (what Dash perceives to be)the movie's uplifting message of human empathy, justice and kindness; and
- For the moving music accompaniment (:
For all you who hv not watched "Singapore Dreaming", please go see it before the run is over! This is probably its last week in the theatre!
Here, Dash puts out an empty bottle for visitors.
There, what dreams wld you put in your bottle?

Watched this some weeks back but no blogspiration (yet?)..
While the plot is good, I find the English-Mandarin-Hokkien rojak too deliberate.
My most memorable line came from the PRC tiger girl, about how they were different in chasing their dreams..
Ya, that was probably one of the most insightful dialogue in the script :)
And the amount of work the characters put into their life and work to maintain a veneer of respectibility, makes Dash wonder if at the end of the day, everyone wants to be respected - whether it is Richard Low's desire to strike Toto & to be able to live in Condo and with Country Club membership, Lim Yu Beng's "Do you stil respect me?" insurance agent job, or Yeo Yann Yann as the indispensable assistant in the law firm. Hmmm.
