Back to the Dashboard I

Dash watched Cao Yu's "Storm" (曹禺 《雷雨》) last Thursday. Tickets courtesy of Jason. Dash is amazed at the talent of Cao Yu to hv written this play of the Shakespeare's "King Lear" tragic proportion at the young age of 23.

Many events in this play move in circles, only to deepen the furrows of sorrows in the lives of the characters. In the end, the young leave the stage, leaving the old in the spotlight to continue their grinding descent into madness and nihilism.

After further ingesting the tragedy play over the weekend, Dash presents visitors with this sketch: "Looking in the Eye of a Storm"
