10 A*Mazing Facts I learnt about SPRDians

(SPRD had our Divisional Retreat and Healthy Lifestyle Activity in August 2005. The theme of the Retreat was Amazing Race, where each team wld aim to complete a number of tasks within an allocated time. Dash made this list soon after the events.)

5 A*Mazing Facts I learnt abt SPRDians after the HLS Rounders game @ East Coast in Aug 2005

5. There are some SPRDians with better ball sense, some with less. But if we try, we can all hit the ball : )

4. When it's Heng Kee's turn to bat, it pays to stand far far away (even in the clumps of trees) so that you don't hv to run so hard and far later to retrieve the ball.

3. Evelyn is really good at batting! Perhaps one of the criteria to be a PA is to be able to "catch (all) balls" that come towards you!

2. There are SPRDians in the bicycle gang who are willing to cycle-carry those who do not know how to cycle. ...or who refuses to pedal. Nesam, I think, has earned her place in Heaven after her ordeal with an un-cooperative passenger who wld rather look at the trees and fruits than to help pedal : )

1. Ley Hoon's little twin bundles of joy - Spikey and Sherry, hv the most pinch-able bums for Jack Russells.

5 A*Mazing Facts I learnt abt SPRDians after the SPRD Retreat 2005 @ Pulau Ubin in Aug 2005

5. There are at least 6 people in SPRD who can really hug - and tight enough around a barrel to plug strategically the numerous holes in a barrel. Together, they filled the barrel with water to the stipulated height level, in less than 4 minutes! This shows how far SPRDians are willing to go to complete the task.

4. Come what may - irritant conjunctivities, "neither young nor fit", allergy to the sun, "can walk, but cannot run" - all our disabled/handicapped SPRDians are still game enough to play and complete the (supposedly) 4km 'Mazing Race.

3. Leonard, for all his quiet mannerisms, when asked to plug too many leaking holes, wld rather f* the barrel : )

2. Kin Wee prefers girls who are Christians and is musically inclined. Hey, we hv women who meet his criteria, and who are eagerly anticipating your arrival! Be afraid. Be very afraid. : )
