Dash and her colleagues were at Chek Jawa @ Pulau Ubin in Nov 2010. It was the first time Dash was at Chek Jawa, one of the last mangrove swamps left in Singapore.
There we wade into the inter-tidal area and saw so many creatures :D
(Below) There was the two horseshoe crabs who were either mating, or one was hitching a ride on another out into the sea :D
And then (below) was a sand dollar, a starfish actually! :D (The sand dollar was sitting on the hand of our field guide :)
And of course (below) are the brittle star (left) and the knobby starfish (right)! Dash and company were really exciting to see this knobby starfish since it was what one often see on pamphlets. A real one in sight is a real pleasure :D
There were actually many photos, however, Dash had uploaded them on the office intranet to share with the other colleagues. And as usual, had forgotten to load them on her own computer *facepalm*
Ah well, these few photos will do for now :D
In fact, just this May, Dash organised a trip to Pulau Semakau for her colleagues to see how Singapore recycles our waste and in the process, builds a man-made island, known as Pulau Semakau. And Dash forgot to bring her camers *DOH*
Thank goodness Dash will be back in Aug or Nov for a second trip since there is a strong demand for a repeat tour :D And this time, Dash *must* remember to bring a camera!

Hello Dash,
We are from TACTIC PR and we handle National Geographic Channel.
We were just wondering if you might be interested in a seminar by Zeb Hogan for nature-lovers, such as yourself.
Do let me know if you would be interested and we can send you the information where you can post on your blog and share it with all your readers. =)
Cheers,
Genevieve Lim
